Working with Tia is about getting to the healthiest, not just happiest, version of yourself. That means pushing to make tough choices and having courageously honest conversations about your needs vs. wants, what feels good vs. what is good, and working through the uncomfortable parts of change.
A native New Yorker, Tia’s therapeutic style embraces all things Brooklyn: She’s a compassionate, straight shooter with a lot of wit…and heart. Expect to laugh, cry and be challenged.
Tia has spent her whole career actively listening to others she’s going to catch that tone, inflection or side eye. She began her career as a journalist, working at top publications including EBONY magazine, JET magazine, The New York Daily News and The New York Times. After spending more than a decade addressing issues ranging from relationship and mental health stressors to budgeting and personal finance woes, Tia knows what helps clients develop the skills needed to make healthy choices and improve their overall quality of life mentally, financially and exponentially.
Tia’s expertise has been featured on countless outlets, including CNN, MSNBC, E!, VH1, Fox and was a recurring relationship expert on The Bill Cunningham Show. She's a former correspondent on The Dr. Oz Show, Lifestyle Director at EBONY magazine and an editor at The New York Times’ T Brand.
